Nun erweist die Britin sich auch im wahren Leben als Heldin: Die Schauspielerin hat eine eigene Wohltätigkeitsorganisation ins Leben gerufen, die Menschen mit Gehirnverletzungen unterstützen soll, wie die „Mail on Sunday“ berichtet – und zum Start hat Clarke gleich mal 30.000 Pfund (rund 35.000 Euro) ihres eigenen Geldes in die Anima Foundation, so der Name der Stiftung, eingezahlt.

Und damit nicht genug: Am Wochenende hat Clarke auf ihrem Instagram-Account bekanntgegeben, dass sie zur Botschafterin der Krankenschwesternschule Royal College of Nursing ernannt wurde. „Wir alle haben Erfahrungen mit Krankheiten, sei es bei uns selbst oder bei Menschen, die uns nahestehen, und die Schwestern, die sich um uns kümmern, brauchen jetzt unsere Hilfe“, schrieb sie in ihrem Post. Hut ab vor so viel Engagement!

We’ve all had experience dealing with sickness of ourselves or loved ones and the nurses that care for us need our care now, they too often fall victim to outdated ideas that leave fantastic nurses overlooked, under-appreciated and underpaid.
